Vabix Logistics was founded in 1968 by Mr. Arnold Janssen Sr. and
Mr. C. Coffeng as a roro and project cargo freight forwarder.

Initially Vabix was acting as dedicated freight forwarder in the Ro/Ro traffic mainly from Europe to Middle East, South America and African destinations.

In 1978 Vabix enlarged her business with a dedicated bonded warehouse division in the centre of the Port of Rotterdam and developed in house custom clearance services. During the years Vabix opened and developed various warehouses in Rotterdam and today operates and owne a 10.000 sq.mt new build warehouse equipped with an argonite fire extinguisher system to handle all sorts of dangerous goods.
In 1985 the group structure expanded by forming a NVOCC service, we established INTER TREK LINES with services to and from Europe for Canada, Mexico, Australia, new Zealand, South Africa, South America, USA and Far East destinations and joined international networks such as UNITED SHIPPING Inc. a dedicated international network of independed freight forwarders.
In 1993 Vabix enlarged her business with an airfreight office, Vabix Expo Air was founded a fully licensed iata agent
In 2005 Marbox Int. Shipping & Forwarding and T.I.C.C. Nederland joined the Vabix Group in order to be ready for the next decennium to offer our clients even larger scales of activities.

Today the Vabix Group is a solid strong organistation with their headquators in the centre of the Port of Rotterdam represented by a large network of independed agents worldwide and a range of specialities and services. We are ready to serve you.

Marbox Int. Shipping & Forwarding was founded in 1989 by Mr Johan van Marion and Mr Bert Oomen - both of them with a long experience in freight forwarding.

In the beginning the majority of the activities were deep sea export shipping for mainly Dutch customers but after the first two year they decided to get into the Far East import business as well in which the company became rather successful especially in the porcelain product line. The number of containers handled for both import and export became in balance

After a few years the group structure expanded by forming Chembox B.V., specialised in chemical freight forwarding, founded in 1992 - and TICC Nederland B.V. acting as Customs Broker - founded in 1993 -

In 1995 Mr Johan van Marion retired and Mr Bert Oomen became sole shareholder of Marbox Holding with fellow shareholders in Chembox and TICC Nederland.

In 1998 Marbox Int. Shipping & Forwarding joined the World Cargo Alliance Network resulting in a global coverage for Marbox to offer to their Customers.

By joining the W.C.A. network Marbox also developed some airfreight business which became another expansion of the activities.

The total Group consisted of some 18 people - handling some 11.000 Teus a year

After a period of further firm and successful growth Bert Oomen decided to join a bigger Group in order to offer an even larger scale of activities and in Oct 2005 he sold the activities of Marbox Int. Shipping & Forwarding and TICC Nederland to the Vabix Group.
